At
Premier, we introduce our younger children to dance in combination classes.
With fun and imagination, dancers can experience the variety of ballet
and tap. As dancers mature, we offer five levels of ballet, tap and
jazz, with three levels of acrobat and two levels of pointe. Whether
your interests are for fun or more serious, Premier offers great variety
for every dancer.
In our
brief history, Premier has had many dancers enhance their training by
attending very prestigious summer programs such as: Universal Ballet
Academy, Milwaukee Ballet, Burklyn Ballet, Colorado Ballet, and Boulder
Jazz Dance Workshop, all of which dancers must audition in order to
be accepted. Dancers have gone on to University Dance programs, and
several have moved on to local pre-professional companies.
All the
teachers at Premier believe that dance provides valuable life skills
along with dance training such as; respect, humility, responsibility
to oneself and others, team work, personal goals, creative expression,
and personal achievement.
Our Fall
classes begin generally after Labor Day. Please call to confirm start
date for all classes. We have a Holiday performance in December. Classes
continue in January, and plans begin for our annual recital which is
held in June. We have a terrific Summer Dance Camp for all levels that
has been a great success the last six years.

Premier
regards their Senior teachers as the foundation for the schools training.
All of these teachers have either danced professionally, earned a degree
in Dance, or have 5-20 years of teaching experience. We have several
Junior teachers, (who have less than five years experience), and are
mentored by the senior teaching staff.
Karin Gritz has owned Premier for over twelve years, and
has been teaching dance for over seventeen years. Her early training
began with Gwen Bowen School of Dance in south Denver, and progressed
to teaching at age 18. She has taught through many outlets including:
YWCA, Pueblo Ballet, Rancho Simi Valley Recreation Department and at
local studios in Colorado. She is exceptional in working with the younger
kids and keeping the tradition of dance alive! Her objective with the
studio is to reinforce arts education by providing an outlet for all
families to afford dance training.
Michelle Nigro is a mother of three and a very active member
of her community. A former Miss Adams County she brings over twenty
years of training in performance art. She received a dance minor from
the University of Northern Colorado and previously owned a studio in
Brighton. She has worked with competitive students on a local and National
level in dance and Pageants. She has been teaching at Premier since
it opened. Her training includes tap, jazz, acrobat, poms, piano and
voice.

locally and received her B.A. from the University of Colorado as double

studios over the last several years. Her expertise is teaching all levels
of ballet and pointe, however she also has training in jazz, tap and
modern.

with honors from the University of Arizona where she majored in Dance.
She received her training at Premier, with additional summer dance programs
throughout the country, including the Boulder Jazz Dance Workshop. She
is a member on the Interweave Dance Theatre in Boulder. She has competed
locally and nationally for many years and has choreographed competitive
routines for the last seven years. An outstanding choreographer, Alexandra
has won several awards for her choreography and brings a freshness in
style to the studio.
