Our Teachers

Premier regards their Senior teachers as the foundation for the schools training. All of these teachers have either danced professionally, earned a degree in Dance, or have 5-25 years of teaching experience. 

Karin Gritz has owned Premier for 26 years, and has been teaching dance for over thirty five years. Her early training began with Gwen Bowen School of Dance in south Denver, and progressed to teaching at age 18. She has taught through many outlets including: YWCA, Pueblo Ballet, Rancho Simi Valley Recreation Department and at local studios in Colorado. She is exceptional in working with the younger kids and keeping the tradition of dance alive! Her objective with the studio is to reinforce arts education by providing an outlet for all families to afford dance training.

Michelle Nigro is a mother of three and a very active member of her community. A former Miss Adams County she brings over twenty five years of training in performance art. A graduate of the University of Northern Colorado with a BA in Elementary Education, she has been teaching at Premier since it opened.  She has worked with competitive students on a local and National level in dance and Pageants. Her training includes tap, jazz, acrobat, poms, piano and voice.

Alexandra Fields graduated with honors from the University of Arizona where she majored in Dance. She received her training at Premier, with additional summer dance programs throughout the country, including Virginia School of the Arts, Boulder Jazz Dance Workshop, and Hubbard Street Dance Chicago. Alexandra has run the Competition Team at Premier for over 15 years. An exceptional choreographer, Alexandra has won several awards for her choreography at the Regional and National level. Alexandra has two young sons and enjoys all of the outdoor adventures Colorado has to offer.

Marian Faustino is beginning her seventh year teaching Ballet at Premier.  She received her classical ballet training in the Philippines as a member of Ballet Manila, studying under visiting teachers from the Vaganova Ballet Academy. She has also been privileged to be a Philippine representative at several international ballet competitions. She danced for several years with Wonderbound here in Colorado. 

Shannon Guillot started her formal training at City Ballet in Dallas, TX under Eveyln Johnson; and later at the School of Hartford Ballet in CT. At the age of 19 she received a contract to dance professionally with the Colorado Ballet. There she danced in a variety of Ballets including: Giselle, Don Quixote, The Nutcracker, Rodeo, Dracula, and Sleeping Beauty. She also danced professionally with the Boulder Ballet and Lemon Sponge Cake before teaching and competeing as a Ballroom dancer for the Arthur Murray dance studio in Denver. She is a mother of a sweet 9 year old boy, and is excited to return to teaching at Premier after many years away.

Jamison Slater began her training in Medford, NJ. She then went to study on scholarship at Virginia School of the Arts. She attended many summer programs including Houston Ballet, Joffrey Ballet, Koresh, and Charleston Ballet. She has danced professionally with Charleston Ballet Theatre and Caribbean Cruise Lines. While living in Las Vegas Jamison performed in Jubilee!, Nathan Burton Comedy Magic Show, and the Sirens show at Treasure Island. Jamison is excited to be in Colorado with her family and teaching dance again.

Sarah Pritchett has been dancing for nearly 25 years in the disciplines of Ballet, Tap, Jazz, Lyrical, Pointe, Ballroom, and Hip Hop. She is certified through Dance Masters of America and her most recent large scale adventures include competing in the World Wide Talent Search and on So You Think You Can Dance. Sarah has performed and competed nationally in addition to teaching dance for over 15 years. She is a world traveler and has an album full of dance jumps at many notable landmarks!

Mary Williams is a graduate of Western Michigan University with a B.A. in Dance & English. She has danced professionally with Inaside Dance Chicago for seven years before moving to Denver. She has been a teacher for over 15 years with expertise in Ballet, Jazz, Modern, Tap and Hip Hop. In addition to raising 3 young sons she is also a Certified Group Fitness Instructor.

Casey Greenmyer began her training at Premier when she was four years old and danced as apart of our competitive team for 10 years. She graduated with a degree in Integrative Physiology, and a Minor in Dance, from CU Boulder in 2017. In addition to teaching, Casey is the musical theater choreographer for the Legacy H.S. Theater Department. In her spare time she volunteers at nursing/assisted living facilities, using dance to promote health and wellness in the elderly. She is currently purusing a career in the medical field.

Haley Nigro received her dance training at Premier before attending the University of Wyoming. She recently graduated with a BFA in Dance Science and a minor in Creative Writing. During her college years she studied abroad in London and performed works by Darrell Grand Moultrie, José Limon, Tai Jimenez and Jarek Cemerek. She has experience teaching Jazz, Ballet, Pointe, Modern, Contemporary and Creative Movement to a wide variety of age groups. We are excited to have Ms. Haley back at Premier.
